Senior Housing

Moving into senior housing often means giving up the safety and convenience of your own laundry room.

Creative Laundry helps make your property more desirable, competitive and profitable with programs to retrofit existing senior apartments with in-unit laundry facilities.

The Profitable Way to Provide
Safety, Sanitation and Convenience.

People moving into senior housing may be down-sizing their lifestyles, but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to give up all the comforts and conveniences of the single-family homes they left behind. One amenity that gives seniors the combined feelings of security, control and happiness is laundry in their own residence.

Let Creative Laundry Systems help to make your property more desirable, competitive and profitable with programs to retrofit existing senior apartments for in-unit laundry or put compact and energy-efficient laundry into your new senior housing communities. Our combination washer/dryers — innovative appliances that wash and dry in the same machine — are especially suited to senior housing, cost-effectively addressing some of seniors’ top concerns:

  • Safety
Seniors shouldn’t be carrying laundry baskets back and forth between their apartments and a laundry room. Stairwells and hallways are places where accidents are waiting to happen.
  • Sanitation
Shared laundry facilities could be breeding grounds for infectious or contagious illnesses. In-unit laundry is a safe and sanitary way to minimize residents’ exposure. For even more effective sanitation, Asko and LG combo washer/dryers feature internal water heaters that bring hot wash water up to a true sanitizing temperature that kills viruses and bacteria.
  • Privacy
Few seniors want their health-related issues on display in the public laundry room. In-unit laundry let them maintain their privacy and dignity. With one of our combination washer/dryers in their apartment, residents put in their laundry, leave for their daily activities, then come back to clean, dry clothes.

These machines also simplify ADA compliance. They front-load, for minimal lifting. With our optional Pan-Stand pedestal base, doors are raised to an optimum height. For easy access, all controls, including the push-button option, are also on the front. Clothes go in dry and come out dry with no loading or unloading of heavy wet fabrics.
